How do we know our blood type?

There are many ways for us to know what our blood type is. First of all, check out your Birth
Certificate, it is very apparent that your blood type is indicated there. But if not, worry no more, for there are many ways to know the details of your blood type.

There are actually two factors on knowing your blood type, first is the presence of antigen and the second one is. the presence of Rh-antigens on the surface of your red blood cells.

Type A blood types does have A antigens, Type B blood types does have B antigens, Type AB blood types have A and B antigens, while Type O blood types doesn't have either A or B antigens, which means they are considered 'almost universal' blood type.

While the second factor involves determining the Rhesus factor of the blood. If there are presence Rh antigens in the surface of red blood cells, it is considered Rh-positive, while the opposite turns to be Rh-negative for red blood cells with lack of Rh antigens in their surface.

Known ways on knowing our blood type are the following:

The doctors shall notify you upon getting your result.
